Export of petrochemical raw materials
In order to export petrochemical raw materials, different angles must be considered. First, the export target market for neighboring countries and other countries where it is possible to export should be considered. The petrochemical industry is the technical knowledge in the study and extraction of oil and gas derivatives and the manufacture of its products. Iran's economy is mostly based on the petrochemical industry; Because Iran has the mentioned natural resources, the products of which are supplied to the target markets with a value added of 10 to 15 times the value of oil. Petrochemical market items in the export target market include petrochemical gases, materials such as ammonia, sulfur, alcohol, chemical fertilizers and various grades of polyethylene.
For export, the import of the neighboring country and their needs should be examined. These items with a study can be done in the World Trade Organization and based on that, the production of products that are possible in the country can be analyzed. In fact, each country can develop its industry based on the global development index. These indicators are:
- Import rate of the product under review
- Trade balance
- Annual growth of import value
- Average growth of product import value in the last five years
- Share of global imports and competitors to export to a country
- Average distance from imported points
Chemicals derived from hydrocarbons, oil and coal can be used to make strategic materials or materials such as chemical fertilizers, acids and bases, monomers to make a variety of polymers. These materials are among the materials that can be exported to neighboring countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Georgia, Pakistan and..

The importance of producing and exporting chemical raw materials is due to the fact that the target market of downstream products is dependent on a wide range of petrochemical raw materials. For example, the production of monomers or acids and bases is used in the production of plastics, rubber, cosmetics, composites.
Iran is more powerful in producing upstream industries, ie petrochemical raw materials, than downstream industries and processing final products. Therefore, by identifying the target market of neighboring countries, increasing the quality of the product and at the same time optimizing its price, we can eliminate competitors and create currency for the country, which will increase employment. The development of the country's economy also depends on it. In recent years, high-dollar export products include propane, butane, heavy polyethylene, methanol, benzene, urea fertilizer, furfuraldehyde, and others.
The dollar share of polyethylene and PVC in the country's export sector is about 32% and the share of solvents is about 40%. Iran's petrochemical activity started with the production of chemical fertilizers and gradually the production of monomers and petroleum polymers was developed.
Unfortunately, in recent years, due to the lack of quality and quantity of feed, lack of consumption of downstream industries, repair and economic problems and… production of petrochemical raw materials, which has subsequently had problems in exports and the economy and employment. Affected. Therefore, by identifying the target market and increasing the quality of primary petrochemical products that the country has the potential to produce, production growth must increase.
Rahpooyan Abrisham Hamoon Company has been exporting petrochemicals to countries such as China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkey.
